Join us on Sunday, July 6, 2025 for Beacon Church's 2nd annual "Church in the Park" worship service and church picnic!
We will meet for worship at 10:30 a.m. at the picnic area in Mount Douglas Park.
A picnic lunch will follow immediately after the worship service.
Please bring your own lunch. Water and pop will be provided.
There will be no worship service at our usual meeting place in James Bay on this Sunday, July 6, only. On July 13, we will resume meeting, as usual, at 140 Oswego Street, in James Bay.

Coming from south of Mount Douglas Park, via Cedar Hill Road, the entrance to the park will be on your right immediately after you pass Ash Road.
Coming from the north of Mount Douglas Park, via Cordova Bay Road, the entrance to the park will be on your left just before the intersection of Cedar Hill Road and Ash Road.
When you enter the parking lot, drive to the far end of the lot. You will see the picnic area on your left.

Our elders had promised to take part in a four-legged race competition ahead of the 2024 church picnic. Sadly, we completely forgot about our promise until after nearly everyone had gone home. Even more sadly, we decided to keep our promise and Andrew, Rey, and Joe (for the elders) raced Chris, Jon, and Clement (for the congregation). Saddest of all, the elders were completely humiliated by the other team.
