Writing Your Testimony
A Guide to Writing Out Your Testimony
Part of the process of becoming a member of Beacon Church involves preparing a personal account of how God has saved you. In other words, your testimony of Jesus Christ. If you are being baptized, you will have a chance to share this with the congregation.
Start with telling your name. That's the easy part! So here are some leading questions to help you write out the rest of your testimony. You do not need to follow these sections exactly or answer every one of the questions. Rather, they are intended to spur your thinking. Keep your testimony to a page in length (double-spaced, 12 point font). Don't worry about making it great. Just tell the truth. The most important thing is to be yourself and speak clearly to the work God has done in your life.
