Nathanael King had the privilege to grow up in a Christian home where the authority of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation was taught from an early age. 

His parents homeschooled him and his nine siblings, but by grade 9, both Nathanael and his parents could tell that he would be headed for postsecondary education, and would need to be able to defend his faith in that secular environment. Nathanael's parents ensured that he was well-supplied with creation resources including a subscription to Creation magazine, and later to the Journal of Creation. The thorough grounding this material provided allowed him to go to university with confidence that he could find an answer to any argument he would face there. 

Nathanael graduated with his BSc in Chemistry in 2014, and after a couple of years in an industrial research lab, went back to school for his PhD in Chemistry, which he obtained in 2023. Nathanael lives in Edmonton with his wife and children, and is currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher.
